Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry units and be proficient in managing cardiac monitoring and medication drips.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titratable drips as ordered.
• Interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
• Minimum 2+ years of recent PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry RN experience.
• Experience managing medication drips.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Strong cardiac monitoring and critical thinking skills.
