Job Description:

Schedule: M - F (5 x 8's

Shift: Days

  • Educates patients regarding procedures and tests, and other hospital policies.
  • Conducts patient care activities with respect for privacy and confidentiality.
  • Identifies and responds to life-threatening situations appropriately.
  • Assists in the organization and coordination of patients to promote efficient flow within the department.
  • Collaborates with staff as a team player to ensure quality patient care.
  • Addresses ethical issues in patient care, such as Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney.
  • Uses appropriate forms with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Responds promptly and effectively to patient and guest needs.
  • Receives and places reports in patient charts to prevent delays and complications.
  • Informs physicians of abnormal results as soon as possible.
  • Notifies appropriate team when patients are available for pre-op interviewing.
  • Performs EKGs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Computer skills [Required]

Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • N/A

Work Experience:

  • 1+ years' clinical critical care nursing [Required]
