Contract: 13 Weeks

• Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Orientation: Up to 16 hours unpaid

About the Opportunity

A leading healthcare facility in Maine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support Post-Acute Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing units on a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment focused on rehabilitation, dementia care, and long-term resident support.

The RN will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote a safe, therapeutic, and home-like environment while delivering high-quality nursing services across multiple units.

Unit Overview

Memory Care Unit

• Long-term care setting focused on Alzheimer’s and dementia residents
• Emphasis on behavioral support, communication techniques, and individualized resident care

Transitional Rehabilitation Unit

• Short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services
• Patient populations include post-surgical recovery, fractures, joint replacements, stroke recovery, and complex medical needs
• Hands-on experience with IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessments

Long-Term Care Unit

• Provides ongoing care and support in a resident-centered environment
• Focus on maintaining comfort, safety, and quality of life

Required Qualifications

• Active Maine RN License or Compact RN License
• 2–3 years of RN experience preferred
• BLS/BCLS Certification required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to float between units as needed
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
