Charge Registered Nurse (Charge RN)
Job Summary:
Provides direct patient care while overseeing daily nursing operations, coordinating staff assignments, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff, promotes collaboration among the interdisciplinary team, and maintains compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Current BLS certification required.
Charge Nurse or leadership experience preferred.
Recent acute care, long-term care, or skilled nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care and coordinate daily patient care activities.
Assign, supervise, and support nursing staff throughout the shift.
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures as ordered.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
