Education Requirements
Registered Nurse Diploma required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Experience Requirements
Cardiovascular surgery experience required
Must be able to use Terumo system for Endoscopic Vein and Radial Artery Harvesting
RN OR CST First Assist with vein and radial harvesting experience will be considered
Floating between St. Tammany Hospital and SMH required

Certifications Required
Active RN license in state of practice
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS (American Heart Association)

Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area

Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care using the nursing process in accordance with Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards
Delegate and direct care to licensed and ancillary staff
Maintain accountability for patient outcomes
Support cardiovascular surgical procedures including harvesting techniques
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Perform additional duties as assigned

Exerting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly
Requires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout shift
