Responsibilities

 

Your Role:

  • Oversee and manage all surgical services scheduling operations, ensuring efficient and accurate coordination of operating rooms, procedural areas
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized scheduling policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize operating room utilization and support organizational goals related to access, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for block scheduling management, including allocation, monitoring, release, and optimization of block time in collaboration with surgical service leaders and physicians.
  • Analyze scheduling data and performance metrics (e.g., utilization, cancellation rates, delays, case duration accuracy) to identify trends, resolve inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
  • Integration of the TMH mission, vision, values, and strategic plan  
  • Human resource management and professional practice development
  • Regulatory readiness and standard compliance 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:

Required Education:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years of job-related leadership experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience as a Scheduler and working in an OR setting

 Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]
