RN – Nurse Lead (L&D) (Contract)

Location: California, 95240
Pay: $2,594 – $2,905/week
Schedule: Night Shift (3rd) | 8-hour shifts | 36–48 hrs/week

Position Overview

  • Lead RN role within Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit

  • Rotates through Postpartum providing couplet care (mother & newborn)

  • Delivers coordinated, patient-centered care using the nursing process

  • Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes

  • Utilizes critical thinking, independent judgment, and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

  • Coordinate care delivery and promote a safe, healing environment

  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members

  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care

  • Delegate tasks and oversee team performance

  • Support patient care in LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery) setting

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active California RN License (Required)

  • BLS/CPR Certification (Required)

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (Required)

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred

  • Acute care experience – Preferred

Additional Information

  • Department includes Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) services

  • OB Triage may be included

  • Postpartum and infant care included via rotation

  • Compliance with vaccination requirements is mandatory
