Job Description:

Other duties as assigned. Oversees the development and ongoing editing of unit-specific forms and patient education materials including promoting knowledge of oncology and effects for patients, support partner(s, and care providers. Monitors surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and reporting key results at Leadership Team meetings. Develops and oversees pre and post-op teaching classes, coordinating teaching materials with the physicians' office. Tracks and documents data for National Consortium of Breast Centers Quality Program and National Accreditation Program for Breast Center accreditation. Informs and educates patients about their breast imaging results and post-biopsy home care. Provides education, support, and assistance to patients diagnosed with breast cancer, advocating for timely access to care and treatment. Develops standardized care plans with surgeons, including pre-op, post-op, and discharge orders. Ensures appropriate pre-op preparation for every patient. Communicates and collaborates with mammography techs, radiology staff, and physicians to provide excellent care. Notifies patients that need to return for further imaging and schedule their appointments. Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with hospital administrators, the Center medical director, other physicians, and key staff. Builds out and oversee the day-to-day operations of the breast health and digestive health programs within the center.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
