Shift: 12hr Nights (1845–0715 / 1900–0700) | 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 18 months of MedSurg/Tele experience.
First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
EMR:EPIC (Minimum 6 months of experience required; exact duration must be noted in the offer).
Licensure & Certifications: Active RN License, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
Patient Population: Fast-paced Observation unit handling Cardiac, Respiratory, and Neuro diagnoses.
RN Ratios:
Standard: 1:5–6 (Day & Night)
Surge Staffing: Can scale up to 1:7–8
Support Staff:
CNA (1:12 ratio)
Phlebotomy, IV/VAT Team, and 24/7 RT & Intensivist support.
Remote Telemetry monitoring with dedicated Tele techs.
Note: No Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). Charge Nurse may take a patient assignment but acts as a resource.
Equipment: Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell Med Dispensing, Massimo monitors in all rooms.
Schedule Cycle: Every 6 weeks.
Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend (EOW).
Holidays: Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays.
Requested Time Off (RTO): Up to 6 days can be approved (excluding holidays). If contracted hours cannot be met due to RTO, time must be added to the end of the contract.
On-Call: Possibility of low census call. For Night shift, you can be called back until 03:00.
Floating Requirements:
Mandatory Regional Floating: You must be willing to float across Region 3 (Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and Central Division/CMC Main Mercy LCH) based on regional needs. If floated mid-shift, you remain on the clock/paid during travel time. Do not apply if you are not agreeable to this.
Orientation: Includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 2 days of departmental orientation.
