This opening for an RN Manager, Trauma Program is based in Manchester, NH at a 330-bed acute care hospital and Level III Trauma Center serving southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. The hospital is also home to a nationally recognized heart and vascular institute and an innovative couplet-care birthing center.

The role. Reporting to the Trauma Medical Director, the Trauma Program Manager leads the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of a comprehensive trauma care continuum for patients and families across the hospital. This position serves as the primary liaison between the hospital and external partners — including EMS providers, fire services, ambulance services, police, the EMS Medical Director, and state trauma authorities — representing the program on relevant committees. The manager develops and maintains trauma policies and procedures grounded in current best practice and New Hampshire state trauma directives, and coordinates all preparation activities for statewide and American College of Surgeons trauma designation site visits. Concurrent quality monitoring is central to the role: the manager conducts ongoing review of trauma medical records, maintains documentation in the trauma registry, identifies corrective action plans, and responds to trauma team activations during working hours to provide real-time clinical guidance. The manager also holds oversight responsibility for the NH TEMSIS computerized Patient Care Reporting system, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with established criteria for all services and patients transported to the facility.

  • Minimum of three years of recent acute care experience specifically caring for trauma patients
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Hampshire
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
  • CEN certification preferred

Compensation. $47.30 - $56.31/hr plus SOB and Relo on a case by case basis
