Position Title:RN Manager - Patient Logistics CenterDepartment:Patient Logistics CenterJob Description:General Description: Under general direction, plans, directs and coordinates Patient Logistics Center operations and Translation Services Essential Functions/Duties:Directs and coordinates the operations of the Patient Logistics Center and Translation ServicesLeads, develops, coaches, and effectively manages the team to ensure deliverables and performance metrics are met. Develops team to accomplish results through training, development, performance management and recognition.Responsible for communication with appropriate Management about bed placement and process improvementAssists with communication to physicians, community and other customers about Patient Logistics CenterAssists with information systems concerning nursing administration and Patient Logistics CenterManages software for access and reportsManages request of English documents to be translated into multiple languagesManages processes for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirementsManages clinical needs of areaManages processes related to staffing, bedboard, transport communications and admission processesMaintains and monitors required records and reportsFosters professional development among staffMonitors overtime hours and assists with coverage plans to conserveEvaluates performance of staff and directs them in an appropriate mannerDocuments critical incidents when necessary and takes appropriate actionProvides clear, concise and pertinent direction to the teamIndependently audits written and audio records to ensure compliance and resolves issues as neededResponsible for hiring and orientating new Patient Logistic Center and Translation Services staffManages schedule and monitors productivity targets within budget for Patient Logistics Center and Translation Services Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN required; Master’s level education preferredExperience: Five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting including two (2) years of supervisory, fiscal management and computer system applications OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting up to one year of college coursework above the Baccalaureate Degree level for a maximum of one (1) year of the non-supervisory required experience. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting additional coursework or experience in financial/accounting management at the rate of one year of financial experience for one year of nursing experience.License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of advanced clinical skills, current nursing practices, principles and methods of supervision and teaching, hospital organization, nursing administration, management of standard accounting and financial practices, budgets and their application to fiscal policy and procedure, statistical theory, regulation by accrediting agencies and of computer system applications in both clinical and financial settings. Knowledge of managerial functions such as budgets, statistical measures, report writing, performance improvement tools, etc. Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Strong influence skills and ability to motivate others.Ability to maintain integrity and trust among leadership and staff Proven ability to manage a team of professionals and lead a departmental functionManagerial skills sufficient for organizing, developing and supervising a department and staff.Skill in analyzing statistics for both clinical and business purposes.
