RN Manager – Neuro/Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Pay: $100,000 – $148,000 Annual Salary
Shift & Schedule: Days | No Weekends
We are seeking an experienced RN Manager to lead a specialized Neuro/Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting staff development, driving quality initiatives, and ensuring exceptional patient care outcomes for a high-acuity neuro and trauma patient population.
• Manage daily operations of the Neuro/Trauma Progressive Care Unit.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, charge nurse support, and patient care activities.
• Conduct patient and family rounding to enhance patient experience and care quality.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance management of nursing staff.
• Support employee engagement, retention, and professional development initiatives.
• Assume departmental leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director.
• Provide operational and clinical support during high census periods and emergency situations.
• Conduct quality audits, monitor compliance metrics, and support performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and nursing practice guidelines.
• Partner with educators and clinical leaders to identify competency gaps and implement training plans.
• Assist with budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning.
• Oversee supply management and equipment utilization within the department.
• Bachelor's Degree (BSN or related healthcare field) required.
• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of formal nursing leadership experience OR 5+ years of Charge Nurse experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge of neuro, trauma, critical care, or progressive care nursing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
• Critical Care, ICU, Trauma, or Neuro nursing background.
• Experience managing quality initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Previous staff development, mentoring, and performance management experience.
