Avera on Louise Health Campus Work Shift: Day/Evening/Weekend/Holiday Shift (United States of America) The pay range for this position is listed below. Open to experienced LPN's* Working within the endoscopy unit, helping room patients, helping with procedures and recovering patients post procedure. Day shifts- occasional call. Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. Responds and assists the Physician and Registered nurse by providing assistance to professional staff during the pre-procedure, procedure or post-procedure period. The LPN practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or other health care provider. The LPN organizes and directs those aspects of care for which he/she is accountable; communicating and coordinating care with well-defined nursing diagnoses, including all health team members. This position will assist with procedure room set-up, scope cleaning and scope maintenance, as well as entering and maintaining inventory control. Prepares the room for procedure in a timely fashion, including patient and equipment positioning. Maintains efficiency in handling equipment at physician's request during procedures. Verifies specimens with Physician and Registered Nurse. Achieves and maintains a working knowledge of equipment and tools; cleans and maintains equipment. Keeps stock and equipment inventories, including requisitions or forms for maintenance and repair. Collects data and conducts a focused nursing assessment of the health status of a patient. Participates with other health care providers in the development and modification of the patient-centered healthcare plan; communicate and collaborate with patients and members of healthcare team. Advocates for the best interest of the patient and provides for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Assists with health counseling and teaching. Implements, delegates and assigns nursing interventions to implement the plan of care and assist in evaluating the response to interventions.
