What Youll Bring: Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery or related obstetric settings
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Current 12-month certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare software
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Certification in a specialized clinical area within obstetrics or maternal health
- Experience with patient education and teaching strategies tailored to diverse populations
- Bilingual skills to enhance patient communication
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Prior experience working in a hospital labor and delivery setting
Other Requirements
- Physical ability to perform heavy work, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially infectious materials
- Must adhere to all safety and compliance standards, including OSHA and hospital protocols
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development initiatives
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $54.31
- Flexible VMS shift coverage from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
