Job Description:

AHMG GYN Surgical Oncology at Orlando

2501 N. Orange Ave., Suite 786, Orlando, FL 32804

Monday - Friday 7am - 5:30pm (hours will flex

  • position will cover Celebration location 1-3 times per week
  • Provides supportive resources and education to patients and family members on treatment and side effects.
  • Teaches patients and their families about treatment expectations and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
  • Completes necessary patient forms such as FMLA, disability, and letters of medical necessity.
  • Assists the benefits team in obtaining authorizations for chemotherapy and infusion-related treatments.
  • Develops and implements individualized care plans for patients, coordinating various aspects of oncologic patient care.
  • Triages and treats cancer-related issues, including administering and monitoring chemotherapy treatments.
  • Inputs chemotherapy treatment orders as per the ordering physician and coordinates treatment appointments with the infusion center.
  • Monitors patient adherence to oral chemotherapy medications and all other medications ordered by the physician.
  • Consistently monitors and records patient progress, including responses to treatments and medications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

Work Experience:

1+ inpatient oncology , icu or pcu experience [Preferred]

1+ oncology experience [Required]

1+ physician office experience [Preferred]
