RN Endoscopy (ENDO)

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy (ENDO)
Job Location: Clackamas, OR
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days| 4×10-Hour Shifts | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: up to $72/ hour on W2

Job Description:

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by completing assessments, verifying consents, and reviewing medical history.
• Administer IV therapy and moderate sedation while monitoring patients throughout procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including colonoscopies and biopsies.
• Monitor patients during recovery and provide discharge instructions and patient education.
• Clean, disinfect, and prepare endoscopy equipment while following infection control and sterilization standards.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to time-out procedures, fall prevention, and quality protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, technicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 1 years of recent experience as a Endoscopy RN
• Experience assisting with GI procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), biopsies, and other endoscopic procedures.
• Experience administering and monitoring moderate sedation and IV therapy.
• Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and post-procedure recovery skills.
• Experience preparing patients for procedures, monitoring vital signs, and providing discharge education.
• Experience maintaining infection control and endoscopy equipment reprocessing standards.
• Experience documenting patient care using Epic EMR (preferred).

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active Oregon RN License.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification.
• American Heart Association (AHA) PALS Certification.
