Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN – Emergency Room for an exciting opportunity in Wrangell, AK.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients of all ages in the Emergency Department
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during assigned shifts
- Respond to emergent situations and make rapid clinical decisions
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and nursing protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to physicians promptly
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation
- Participate in patient care planning and interdisciplinary coordination
- Ensure proper communication and handoff during shift changes
- Support training and onboarding of department personnel
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS certification (AHA) required
- PALS certification (AHA) required
- TNCC preferred
- Acute care, Emergency Department, or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress emergency situations
