Position Summary: The Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced environment providing care to patients ranging from urgent care to critical trauma cases. The RN ED will coordinate and deliver complex nursing care, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and quality while fostering a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a diverse patient population including critical care, pediatric, psychiatric, and trauma patients.
Perform advanced nursing interventions including medication titration, arterial line management, mass blood transfusion, and chest tube care.
Utilize electronic medical record systems, specifically Cerner, to document patient care accurately.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care planning.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state/district of practice.
Minimum 3 years of ER experience.
Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
Current certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, ACLS.
Cerner EMR experience.
Must live within 100 miles of the facility.
