Director of Women's Services Position Description Position Name: Director of Women's Services Facility Name: Overland Park Regional Medical Center Shift Details: Days Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients. Job Summary and Qualifications Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s) with twenty-four (24) hour accountability. Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs. Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner. Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards. What qualifications you will need: At least 5 years of RECENT (Within the last year) as a manager or director in a large hospital experience in Women Services. Needs experience with at least 3500 births a year in a high acuity facility. Education: BSN is Required Licensure/Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.
