RN CSICU (Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit)

A 288-bed acute-care hospital in Tallahassee, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU). The hospital offers a broad range of specialty services including a Heart & Vascular Center, Chest Pain Center with PCI-Resuscitation, Stroke Center, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, among others.

The role. The CSICU RN provides close monitoring and frequent assessments for critically ill cardiac surgery patients, making independent clinical assessments and managing treatment autonomously when the situation demands. You will serve as an advocate for patients and their families, protecting privacy and confidentiality throughout the care experience. The role includes educating patients and families on medications and post-treatment instructions, and contributing to a collaborative team environment with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

What we're looking for.

• 1+ years of acute care ICU or PCU experience required
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• BLS required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS stroke certification required within 30 days
• BSN preferred
• CCRN a plus but must be obtained within 2 years

Schedule. Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $30.89 - $43.25/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
