The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Three years of experience in a clinical area with a minimum of one year in the area of specialty.
- Alternatively, a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing with two years of experience in a clinical area with a minimum of one year in the area of specialty.
- Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact License.
- Certified in American Heart Associations Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Life Support credential (e.g. ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
