Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) – Emergency Department

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to support the Emergency Department. In this role, you will partner closely with leadership to coordinate patient care, support staff, and drive quality outcomes across the department.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will serve as both a clinical resource and a team leader, ensuring high standards of care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Coordination

  • Collaborate with department leadership to coordinate and improve patient care delivery

  • Support and guide nursing staff, serving as a clinical resource and role model

  • Assist with staffing coordination and daily departmental operations

  • Lead and support unit-based initiatives and process improvements

Clinical Excellence

  • Provide direct patient care as needed within the Emergency Department

  • Maintain strong clinical knowledge and ensure adherence to best practices

  • Monitor patient care quality and contribute to performance improvement efforts

Education & Development

  • Coordinate and deliver staff education, in-services, and retraining

  • Partner with nursing education and leadership to support ongoing staff development

Quality & Compliance

  • Participate in committees, task forces, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements

Patient & Team Experience

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

  • Foster teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication across the department

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Active RN license (Oregon)

  • ACLS and PALS certifications

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience

  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred

  • BSN

  • Previous leadership, education, or quality improvement experience

  • Specialty certification

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00/4:30 PM
Assignment: Travel / Contract
