Clinical Nurse Manager - RN

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clinic Management: Direct and optimize the day-to-day operations of a high-performing, safe, and well-equipped clinic, ensuring workflow clarity and strict protocol efficiency.

  • Care Plan Integrity: Ensure nursing and clinical staff accurately deliver and document interventions outlined in participant care plans, including prompt responses to physician orders and meticulous assessment completions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Medical Practice leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to continuously evaluate and elevate the quality and coordination of participant services.

  • Team Supervision: Hire, retain, coach, develop, and supervise RN Case Managers, Clinic RNs, Medical Assistants (MAs), and other clinic team members, actively fostering an engaged and healthy workforce.

  • Performance Accountability: Set clear expectations, evaluate staff competencies, and nurture an empowering team culture focused on compassionate senior care.

  • Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze operational data to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses. Perform root cause analyses on care delivery processes and recommend innovative workflows or policies to the Clinical Nurse Director (CND).

  • Audit Leadership: Serve as the clinical audit lead during official CMS and DHCS reviews, collaborating directly with the CND and Quality Improvement Director.

  • Corrective Action: Develop, implement, and monitor robust corrective action plans to ensure ongoing, uncompromised regulatory compliance..

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience successfully overseeing an ambulatory clinic operation (including RN, LVN, and MA staff) OR equivalent nursing leadership experience within a high-volume, outpatient setting.

  • Specialized Geriatric Care: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working directly with a frail, elderly, or specialized senior population.

  • Life Support: Must possess CPR and First Aid certifications upon hire, or successfully obtain them within 180 days of placement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a relevant healthcare field is highly preferred (equivalent professional experience may be substituted).

  • Setting Background: Proven track record working within an outpatient, clinic, or community-based healthcare model.

Location and Work Type

  • Work Type: Full-Time - direct hire.

  • Work Setting: 100% On-site clinical environment.

  • Schedule: An exceptional lifestyle schedule: Monday through Friday daytime hours. No nights, no weekends, and absolutely no on-call responsibilities.
