The Clinic Nurse Call Center is responsible for provision and management of patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. The Clinic Nurse Call Center delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of:
- assessment
- planning
- intervention
- implementation
- evaluation
and works within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
The Clinic Nurse Call Center is responsible for accurately and efficiently triaging the telephone calls that are received from patients, their caregiver, relatives, and other members of the healthcare team. This involves:
- prioritizing patients health problems according to their urgency
- educating and advising patients
- scheduling appointments
- making safe and effective clinical decisions under the direction of the patients physician.
