RN Charge Nurse
Full Time | Day Shift | Monday - Friday!
Pay: $46-$55/hour
(based on experience and shift differential)
St. Margaret's Center, an affiliate of the Center for Disability Services, is a 94-bed pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in Albany, NY. Since 1883, we have provided compassionate, specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults in a nurturing, home-like setting.

What you'll do as an RN Charge Nurse:
- Provide direct nursing care and treatment to residents using established clinical procedures
- Assess residents' health status and respond to medical needs as they arise
- Provide first aid and coordinate follow-up care for illness or injury
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, and other professionals
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Monitor and maintain nursing equipment
- Attend nursing and program meetings as scheduled
- Document health information in the medical record and nursing notes
- Assist with occupational health responsibilities for staff
- Communicate regularly with service providers, program staff, and leadership regarding medical concerns
Requirements for an RN Charge Nurse:
- Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current and valid CPR Certification
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
