Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Surgical Stepdown

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Surgical Stepdown team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for post-operative cardiac and cardiovascular patients while utilizing strong clinical judgment, monitoring skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Monitor cardiac surgical stepdown patients and report condition changes promptly
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac and cardiovascular patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor telemetry, ECG, and vital signs accurately
• Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical pathways
• Support unit goals and participate in quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience preferred
• Experience in Cardiac Surgical Stepdown, Telemetry, or Cardiovascular care preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize patient care effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Oklahoma State RN License or Multi-State RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred

Schedule

• 3×12 shifts
• Day / Night shifts available
• Full-Time Direct Hire
