Responsibilities
Provide direct behavioral health nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting.
Assess patient status and document progress in electronic health records.
Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects per protocol.
Identify and address safety risks; implement de-escalation techniques.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.
Monitor clinical metrics and contribute to performance dashboards.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Engage patients and families in care planning and education.
Participate in training programs to advance clinical skills and certifications.
Assist in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization.
Utilize patient care pipelines to forecast patient needs and bed availability.
Experience/Qualifications
Active RN license with at least 1 year in behavioral health care.
Proficient in inpatient psychiatric assessment and care planning.
Administer and monitor psychotropic medications per protocol.
Strong de-escalation and safety intervention skills.
Experience with electronic health records and accurate progress notes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to update individualized care plans.
Ensure regulatory and facility policy compliance in daily practice.
Participate in ongoing training; pursue certifications to advance skills.
Track and report clinical metrics; contribute to performance dashboards.
Engage patients and families in care planning and education.
Assist in discharge planning and post-hospital continuity of care.
Utilize care pipelines to forecast patient needs and bed availability.
Demonstrate growth mindset; track personal targets against pipeline insights.
