A leading investment bank, structured finance group, private credit platform, or corporate finance team may seek a Risk & Structuring Officer to support the analysis, structuring, and risk mitigation of complex financial transactions.
This role is well-suited for candidates interested in understanding how deals are designed to balance return, risk, regulatory constraints, and stakeholder interests, with exposure to capital markets, lending, derivatives, and M&A structures.
Analyze transaction risks across credit, market, liquidity, operational, and counterparty dimensions
Support the structuring of financial transactions, including debt, equity, hybrid, and structured products
Build and maintain financial models to assess downside scenarios, sensitivities, and stress cases
Evaluate covenant packages, collateral structures, guarantees, and risk mitigants
Assist in preparing risk memos, structuring recommendations, and investment committee materials
Support live transactions across M&A, leveraged finance, private credit, and capital markets
Conduct scenario analysis and assess the impact of macroeconomic, regulatory, and market changes
Collaborate with deal teams, risk management, legal, and compliance stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
Strong interest in risk management, deal structuring, and transaction analysis
Solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow modeling, and capital structures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior internship or experience in investment banking, risk management, structured finance, private credit, trading, or consulting is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial or risk analysis tools
