Service Branch CodesMOS Codes: 8I100 (Air Force, Space Force), 70D (Army), OAR18 (Coast Guard), 1709 (Marine Corps), 0049 (Navy)Job OverviewLead and support comprehensive review of the organization's operational risk register and coordinate Enterprise Risk Management programs.ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, coordinate and review the City's Enterprise Risk Management programs, including developing risk registers, controls, mitigations, and residual risk ratings.Develop and embed a consistent methodology for assessing risk mitigations; partner with business to align with the Enterprise Risk Management framework and best practices.Provide practical guidance and coaching to stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness and ownership, supporting continuous improvement of risk processes and documentation.Assist in the administration of the City's self‑insured property and casualty insurance programs by: conducting exposure and coverage analysis; monitoring claims, settlements, premium allocation, and loss control; developing and maintaining loss and exposure data; monitoring reimbursement collection; determining insurance allocation; reviewing insurance provisions in vendor agreements, contracts, subcontracts, and leases; negotiating renewal terms; monitoring adjustments and subrogation; analyzing liability claims.Represent the department and advise department heads on applicable rules, regulations, ordinances, state and federal laws, and professional practices; research and recommend innovations for plans, policies, and processes; improve program effectiveness and service efficiency; prepare and submit analytical reports; represent the City at meetings, conferences, and professional associations; prepare and deliver presentations.Supervise assigned personnel by scheduling, assigning, instructing, guiding, and monitoring work; appraising performance; providing training and development; enforcing personnel rules; counseling; motivating; and interviewing applicants to recommend hiring, termination, transfers, disciplinary action, or other changes.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or higher in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.Four (4) years of professional risk management experience, including two (2) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.Valid Texas Class “C” Driver's License or equivalent from another state by the date of appointment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
