RIP Line Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a computerized RIP saw to cut and prepare furniture parts.
• Identify and work with wood species like Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers.
• Read and interpret production tickets and part drawings.
• Inspect parts for quality and accuracy.
• Perform and log preventive maintenance.
• Set up and operate machines safely and efficiently.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Experience in woodworking or manufacturing preferred but not required; we will train the right person.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift.
• Move objects up to and exceeding 200 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
• Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.
• Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
• Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions.
