The Right of Way / Real Estate Coordinator will support Right of Way (ROW) projects by performing a wide range of land acquisition, real estate, and project coordination activities. This role is responsible for facilitating property research, negotiations, title and survey review, permitting, construction coordination, and restoration activities across multiple project locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong real estate and ROW experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Analyze, prepare, review, and interpret land and Right of Way related agreements, including deeds, easements, leases, permits, licenses, and contracts.
Conduct property research and collect real property documentation required for project execution.
Translate data from Right of Way documents into the stakeholder management database with a high level of accuracy.
Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder database entries prepared by Right of Way field agents.
Present technical Right of Way and real estate data to the project team and internal stakeholders.
Prepare, submit, and track permit applications on behalf of the project team.
Develop and deliver project status updates, technical documentation, and acquisition reports for project leadership and/or clients.
Manage document control, meeting agendas, and other administrative project-related tasks.
Assist with subcontractor coordination, including reviewing contracts, invoices, and change orders.
Support and participate in public involvement and stakeholder meetings as needed.
Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and establishment of critical project objectives within defined parameters.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, site safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all organizational policies and standards.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of experience in Right of Way acquisition, relocation, eminent domain, project management, and/or real estate.
Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret title reports, appraisal reports, and land surveys.
Demonstrated knowledge of general real estate law and real estate title work.
Strong ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated presentation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with database system management and data quality control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and ability to qualify for and maintain company vehicle driving privileges in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
SR/WA designation.
Other certifications from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA).
Real Estate Broker license.
Real Estate Sales License.
