Job SummarySouthern Industrial is looking for an experienced Industrial Day Rigging/Mechanical Project Manager to provide leadership for client development and project delivery while ensuring efficient and safe work environments in Atlanta, GA. The right candidate will have 5 years industrial experience running large industrial projects, estimating and planning experience. This person must be local to Atlanta, GA.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesActively promotes and strengthens our core values and culture of Mission First, People Always through everyday actions and decisionsWorks closely with Client, other Project Management and supervision on a daily basis to prepare, plan, develop and oversee site projects, establish priorities and assign resources or capitalResponsible for all aspects of cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reportingUses extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts to properly identify and process scope changes, address issues, communicate regarding project milestonesContinuously develops relationships to identify and cultivate opportunitiesPlans and schedules resources to meet project demandsDevises new approaches to problems, and prepares or modifies drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practicesEnsures all equipment, tools, and employees assigned to project operate in accordance with SIC policy, government regulations and customer requirementsMonitors the execution of the SIC safety program and the performance of work by internal staff and external vendors and champions our Safety First mentalityProvides regular updates of project statuses to Senior ManagementTravels to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projectsQualifications5+ years of experience in industrial rigging, mechanical installation, or project management on industrial projects up to $1M with high complexityStrong understanding of rigging techniques, heavy lifting, and industrial mechanical systems10-15 years of client relationship and business development experience, including leading the preparation and development of bids with a successful recordDemonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility and risk management capabilitiesStrategic thinker who can establish and manage plans while building and fostering relationshipsKnowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulationsProficient PC skills; including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling softwareEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
