This Rigger position in Newport News, VA requires certification in Rigging, Crane operation, Longshoreman, or related fields.
As a key team member, you will operate cranes, forklifts, and tug boats, handle ship components, and erect scaffolding to support shipbuilding activities.
Responsibilities include safely lifting and positioning heavy equipment, maintaining tools and ventilation systems, and ensuring safe working environments.
Candidates must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and able to lift 40 lbs, pass physical and respirator tests, and work flexible shifts.
Preferred qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent.
