RF Repair Technician A 1st shift

Job Summary

This position is responsible for using soldering equipment to repair, modify, and change parts on electronic circuit boards and STB units. A solid understanding of RF transmission, amplification, and receiving electronic circuitry is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform thru-hole and surface-mount soldering.
• Conduct component-level soldering repairs, with a focus on RF (radio frequency) expertise.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) at the component level.
• Work on radio antennas and amplifier transmitters.
• Handle heavy electronic equipment of up to 50 lbs, though lifting is not required. Tasks include sliding radios on a conveyor belt.
• Share a workbench with 2nd shift technicians.
• Use computers for basic tasks, including data entry and navigating applications like MS Office.
• Communicate effectively in English, as training and team interactions will be conducted in English.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing safety-toe shoes when working around heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in thru-hole and surface-mount soldering.
• Proficiency in component-level soldering repair and RF acumen.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in data entry.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Willingness to work with heavy electronic equipment.
