Job Summary
This position is responsible for using soldering equipment to repair, modify, and change parts on electronic circuit boards and STB units. A solid understanding of RF transmission, amplification, and receiving electronic circuitry is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform thru-hole and surface-mount soldering.
- Conduct component-level soldering repairs, with a focus on RF (radio frequency) expertise.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) at the component level.
- Work on radio antennas and amplifier transmitters.
- Handle heavy electronic equipment of up to 50 lbs, though lifting is not required. Tasks include sliding radios on a conveyor belt.
- Share a workbench with 2nd shift technicians.
- Use computers for basic tasks, including data entry and navigating applications like MS Office.
- Communicate effectively in English, as training and team interactions will be conducted in English.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing safety-toe shoes when working around heavy equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in thru-hole and surface-mount soldering.
- Proficiency in component-level soldering repair and RF acumen.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in data entry.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Willingness to work with heavy electronic equipment.
