Join Our Team at Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Revenue Cycle Specialist I who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and supporting efficient billing processes while contributing to positive patient and team experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work proficiently within assigned revenue cycle functions
  • Track missing documentation and ensure timely follow-up with providers, staff, and insurance companies
  • Maintain assigned productivity standards
  • Support the Revenue Cycle Team Lead as needed
  • Prepare, review, and maintain reports and tracking tools (e.g., AR reports, posting ledgers, holding tanks)
  • Provide feedback to providers, clinical staff, and operations teams
  • Collaborate across departments to support communication and workflow efficiency
  • Answer patient calls and assist with billing-related inquiries
  • Contact insurance companies to resolve denials and other issues
  • Maintain billing for non-insurance contracts
  • Provide cross-coverage support for other revenue cycle teams as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of medical billing experience preferred
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Teams; experience with systems like NextGen (electronic health records) preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain productivity standards
  • Positive attitude and alignment with Valley-Wide's mission

Location & Type of Job: This is a full-time, onsite position based in Alamosa, Colorado.
