Revenue Accountant

5 Months | Location: PST Remote (Target area: Southern California)About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Analyst to support contract review, revenue recognition, billing, and month-end close activities. This role partners closely with FP&A and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting, billing integrity, and audit readiness.This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in corporate accounting who can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.What You'll ContributeReview customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatmentPerform month‑end close activities related to revenue recognitionReview variance reports and validate deferred and unbilled revenue balancesPrepare and support revenue‑related journal entriesProcess client invoices and maintain accurate supporting documentationPartner with FP&A to analyze revenue and forecast variancesCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve billing and account reconciliation issuesPrepare documentation and support for internal and external audit requestsAssist with ad hoc projects, reporting, and accounting inquiries as neededWhat We're SeekingBachelor's degree in Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or equivalent experienceExperience with billing and revenue recognition (preferred)Experience working in a corporate accounting environmentStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and cross‑functionallyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Oracle or other large‑scale ERP systems preferredPrior experience in software, construction, or retail industries is a plusCompensation TransparencyThis role pays a fixed rate of $35.00 per hour.
