Job Description

The Retirement Sales Support Consultant plays a vital role in supporting Personal Financial Representatives (PFRs) and other field staff by providing expert guidance on retirement planning, product offerings, and sales strategies. This position is responsible for facilitating effective communication, coaching team members, and enhancing sales effectiveness through the strategic use of sales tools and resources.

  • Provide comprehensive support to Personal Financial Representatives (PFRs) regarding AFS business procedures, product expertise, sales strategies, retirement planning, and effective utilization of sales tools.
  • Initiate outbound communications with field staff to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
  • Offer timely assistance to New Exclusive Financial Specialists (EFS) and Exclusive Agents (EA) within 7-10 days of their Welcome Letter receipt.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with PFRs and sales leaders to promote education on sales ideas and tools.
  • Assist PFRs in delivering mutual funds presentations and solutions, including:
  • Guidance on fund comparisons, hypothetical scenarios, and feedback based on analytical review.
  • Coaching PFRs to develop techniques and strategies that strengthen sales effectiveness.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from PFRs and field leaders, providing expertise across a broad spectrum of financial services, such as:
  • Mutual Funds, Variable Annuities, Variable Universal Life, Unit Investment Trusts
  • Qualified Retirement Plans
  • Registration inquiries
  • Best Interest and Compliance matters
  • AFS Policies and Procedures
  • 529 plans and educational savings options
  • Rollovers, transfers, and broker dealer change requests
  • AFS sales technology platforms, including RightBRIDGE, Docupace, and eApp
  • Foster collaborative relationships between EFS/EA teams to enhance synergy and field effectiveness.
  • Coordinate closely with field management, delivering targeted sales support as required.
  • Present AFS sales information and materials virtually to all agents within assigned territories, ensuring thorough coverage upon completion of AFSU sessions. Topics include product knowledge, processes, and sales concepts designed to drive Allstate retirement product sales.
  • Lead Case Study Workshops for new PFRs to provide practical experience with available sales tools.
  • Facilitate post-session training for PFRs following AFSU program participation.
  • Proactively recommend and arrange supplemental virtual one-on-one training sessions for PFRs and field leaders as appropriate.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required
  • Obtaining Series 24 and Series 51 is preferred.
  • College degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of financial services experience, previous sales experience
  • Knowledge of all investment products preferred: mutual funds, variable annuities, variable life, stocks, bonds, unit investment trusts and 529 plans
  • Knowledge of different account registration types, i.e., 403(b), Roth IRA, joint tenants, 401(k), UGMA/UTMA, 529 Plans, etc.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and emerging technologies to facilitate virtual relationships and training
  • Problem solving skills required - Uses seasoned judgment by applying broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to make presentations to large groups

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 52,800.00 - 80,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
