Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works the market with Retail Wine Sales Representatives and the Fine Wine Consultant, tasting, teaching, and assisting in sales presentations.
- Assists in leading the retail team to their goals (brand and gross profit dollars).
- Works with suppliers and retail market to jointly develop brands and relationships.
- Builds our brands by developing, managing, and educating people and telling the story to decision makers.
- Ensures tastings and samples are effectively used.
- Designs sales presentation books to include all assigned brands with current press and reviews.
- Assists in managing retail allocations.
- Develops solid business relations with all key retail accounts.
- Penetrates and develops business in accounts.
- Recaps time spent with Sales Representatives and follows up as appropriate.
- Works jointly with Area Sales Manager and Retail Wine Sales Manager to obtain all pertinent information.
- Implements use of tracking forms to ensure market execution.
- Annually conducts business reviews with all independent accounts.
- Assists in developing teammates through education of the Wine portfolio and its applications throughout the market.
- Maintains market standards for all wine suppliers.
- Provides coverage in territories when Sales Representatives are absent
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- TN ABC Wholesaler's Employee Permit
- Valid Driver License
- Automobile insurance - 100/300/50 minimum limits of liability
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Explorer; eRome and Sales Portal; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
