General Description: This is a part-time, fast-paced position which requires varying work hours which will include evenings, holidays, and the commitment to consistently work weekends. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, herbal/aromatherapy knowledge, a cheerful demeanor, the ability to multitask, and the ability to professionally interact with customers in all circumstances.
This is a part-time, hourly position starting at $18.90 with benefits for eligible employees after 90 days.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Essential Job Functions:
1. Be dependable - consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, and respond to management feedback.
2. Be proactive - continue to develop skills, gain additional knowledge, and solicit feedback for improved performance.
3. Follow MRH procedures and protocols, including policies set for all retail locations.
4. Possess familiarity with print catalog/journal and the website.
5. Correctly use databases, filing systems, and electronic inventory systems to complete assigned tasks and assist customers.
6. Learn product types and company policies, including standard responses to queries.
7. Expand herbal/natural product knowledge and knowledge of MRH product line to effectively answer product questions.
8. Remain up to date on all products, including new products, product changes, and certifications.
9. Professionally and efficiently handle customers face to face and over the phone.
10. Handle money transactions correctly; calculate totals, various discounts for sales, and record sales correctly.
11. Ensure a positive customer experience through interactions with customers and store presentation to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
12. Follow protocols for safety concerns and theft mitigation and promptly report issues to the Store Manager.
13. Develop a basic understanding of other department processes: Customer Service, Claims & Returns, Wholesale, QC, etc.
14. Communicate with multiple departments (via email, chat, and phone) to answer questions, check quantities and other information that is shared daily.
15. Gain proficiency in numerous computer applications such as the POS system, MS Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
16. Maintain store cleanliness to provide a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
17. Assist with the creation, maintenance, pricing, and stocking of the store as directed.
18. Willingness to become First Aid and CPR certified.
19. Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
20. Monitor and manage company social media accounts by creating and posting engaging content, responding promptly to comments and messages, and collaborating with the supervisor to obtain approval for all posts before publishing.
21. Other duties as assigned.
