Retail Store Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Store Manager is directly responsible for the operations of a Goodwill retail store in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures in support of the Goodwill Mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve or exceed budgeted sales goals by maintaining appropriate expense to revenue ratios, adjusting staff, and controlling company assets
Create and implement timely store sales events to achieve additional revenue
Foster a positive store atmosphere in support of employees, customers and participants
Achieve or exceed production goals monthly/annually by processing donations within 24 hours of receipt
Effectively recruit, hire, develop, supervise, schedule and evaluate store personnel; supervise volunteers
Support Mission-related programs in the retail store
Responsible for controlling company assets and funds
Create a positive public image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays, and presentable and personable sales and management staff
Maintain a safe working/shopping environment. Investigate and document all accidents/injuries/incidents
Ensure customers are treated in a fair, courteous and efficient manner
Oversee and ensure compliance of store salvaging
Complete required paperwork accurately, neatly and submit within established timeframe
Collaborate with Loss Prevention to ensure an effective and proactive LP program is in place
Maintain merchandising guidelines through colorization and classification of store inventory
Promote diversity in the work place through hiring practices and assistance from the Human Resources Department
Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position
Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants
Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required
Bachelor''s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
One (1) year's retail sales experience is required, two (2) or more years is preferred
One (1) year's supervisory experience in a retail setting is required, two (2) or more years is preferred
