The Fountain Group is currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Retail Store Fixture Specialist for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Marlborough, MA (HYBRID). Details for the position are as follows:

Contract of 4-5 months, with potential to extend and/or convert! 
Pay range is $30-40/hr  (based on experience -- Flexible/negotiable as well).
Hybrid: 2 days onsite/week only (Tues & Wed onsite).

Job Description:

  • Team is responsible for ordering the fixtures within all the stores.

  • Analyzes historical data to determine the fixture needs for specific remodel and special project locations and creates purchase orders. This analysis includes reviewing photos, existing site plans and project manager surveys.
  • Partners with Construction, Store Planning, Store Operations, General Contractors, Transportation and Fixture Vendors to ensure fixture orders are accurately created, shipped and delivered on time and installed properly.
  • Responsible for acting as the primary contact between the fixture contractor and Construction project manager throughout the length of each new store, remodel and special project. This includes communicating in a timely manner, processing additional requests and providing support for installation questions.
  • Ensures that the Construction punch lists are complete and closed out on time. Critical timeframes must be adhered to for both new store grand opening dates and remodel completion dates.
  • Collaborates with Store Operations Managers to determine if additional field requests are justified and valid. If needs are justified, additional purchase orders are placed.
  • Before replacement purchase orders are created, the fixture specialist challenges the fixture contractors and project managers to dig deeper to justify the replacement order.
  • Plays a critical role in providing feedback on quality & delivery issues and supplier performance to ensure that the expectations are being met.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Fixture ordering system, Timberline. Timberline has to be kept up to date and 100% accurate by creating and updating formulas, quantity changes, item additions and item deletions.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting and closing out any Oracle invoice issues and creating standard purchase orders in Oracle.
  • Creates and sends purchase orders for each specific store by reading, interpreting and analyzing fixture C-sets for remodel, new and special projects for all brands.
  • Responsible for making sure that all projects stay within budget. If a store is over budget, the fixture specialist partners with the appropriate resources to determine if the scope of work needs to be revised. The budgets the fixture specialists are responsible for in new stores are up to $313K and in remodels up to $277K. Also responsible for updating reports with special project costs.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in retail/customer service is preferred.

  • General fixture and retail knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills are required.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs: Excel, Word, etc required.
  • Experience with Oracle/SAP/Salesforce or related and creating purchase orders is a plus.
  • Autocad or Revit a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field) preferred.
