• 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a department store or big-box environment.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and improving operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, and retail software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
Team Leadership & Development
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates, cashiers, and support staff.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Lead employee training on product knowledge, selling techniques, customer service standards, and store policies.
• Manage employee scheduling to ensure proper coverage across all shifts while controlling labor costs.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operations & Inventory Management
• Oversee daily inventory management, including receiving, stocking, cycle counts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, monitor shrinkage, and implement strategies to minimize inventory discrepancies.
• Manage Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, including troubleshooting, transaction oversight, and ensuring compliance with payment processing procedures.
• Ensure store presentation standards, visual merchandising, and cleanliness are consistently upheld.
Sales & Customer Experience
• Drive sales performance by setting goals, monitoring KPIs, and implementing action plans to meet or exceed targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Analyze sales reports and trends to identify opportunities for growth and address underperforming areas.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements (including labor laws, safety regulations, and loss prevention).
• Maintain a safe and secure store environment for customers and employees.
• Partner with corporate support teams on merchandising, marketing, and operational initiatives.
