Position:                       Retail Store Associate / Cashier

Schedule:                    (10:00 am to 5:30 pm) - Tuesday through Saturday

Reports To:                  Director of Operations

Employment Status:    Full Time

FLSA Classification:     Hourly/ Non- Exempt

Compensation Range: $19.00 - $22.00

Job Summary:

Cookies United, a quality-driven manufacturer based in Islip, NY, is looking to hire a Retail Store Associate to lead our outlet store. This person will be responsible for assisting customers, handling transactions, and keeping the store organized and fully stocked. The primary focus will be on delivering excellent customer service, advertising our products, and partnering with our marketing and sales campaigns.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
• Restock shelves and maintain merchandise displays.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Answering customer questions regarding products and pricing.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock.
• Hand out sales flyers to local businesses to promote sales.
• Any other duties assigned depending on departmental needs.

Job Requirements:

• Previous retail or cashier experience preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Training and Experience:

• High school diploma or a combination of education and work experience.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 25 pounds.
