Retail Sales Associate Supervisor (Full-Time)
Hearts Thrift Stores is seeking a motivated and hands-on Retail Sales Associate Supervisor (RSAS) to help lead daily store operations while working alongside the team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
This role combines leadership and active floor participation. The RSAS supervises and coaches team members, supports merchandising and pricing standards, monitors production and sales floor performance, and helps maintain an organized, clean, and customer-friendly environment.
This position spends approximately 80%–90% of time actively working on the sales floor and store operations and 10%–20% supervising and coaching staff.
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time; Flexible schedule required; Hours vary based on business needs; Must be able to cover call-offs when needed
Key Responsibilities
Assign and adjust daily work to support customer service, merchandising, pricing, and production goals
Supervise and coach 1–15 team members
Monitor sales floor conditions, pull/put ratios, and product flow to maintain a well-stocked and shoppable store
Support Average Price Per Piece (APP) goals through pricing audits and quality control
Provide verbal and signed coaching to team members and escalate serious disciplinary matters to management
Monitor donation processing and receiving production to ensure merchandise is efficiently sorted and prepared for sale
Conduct daily and weekly audits and communicate results using digital reporting tools
Assist customers, operate registers, process transactions, and support loyalty sign-ups
Maintain clean, safe, and organized store conditions inside and outside the building
Open, close, and secure the store as needed
Assist with cash handling, deposits, and change acquisitions
Monitor inventory and communicate supply or merchandise needs to management
Model professionalism, accountability, and excellent customer service standards
Qualifications
Retail operations experience required
Previous retail sales or supervisory experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Basic computer skills including POS systems, Google Docs, email, and Microsoft Word
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds
Electric Pallet Jack Certification/Card required
Must be proficient in Retail Sales Associate and Donation Processor/Receiver duties
