Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team and help create a welcoming shopping and donation experience for our community. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a willingness to assist wherever needed. This role includes helping customers on the sales floor, operating registers and processing transactions, and being cross-trained to support backdoor donation operations to ensure an efficient and positive experience for customers and donors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting shoppers on the floor, and creating a welcoming store environment.
Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently while processing customer purchases.
Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising presentation standards.
Cross-train to support backdoor operations and safely handle incoming donations as needed.
Night and weekend availability.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Retail experience preferred.
Experience handling cash, and utilizingcash registers, credit card machines, and POS systems preferred.
Able to follow pricing guidelines established in the pricing guide.
Knowledge of basic math skills.
Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
