Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 2 for Arkansas Tech University, located in Russellville, AR.  Our Retail Manager will oversee 5 retail locations on campus, including in-house and national brands.  This manager will supervise approximately 30 employees. Arkansas Tech University is a public institution located in Russellville, Arkansas, within the Arkansas River Valley and near the Ozark Mountains. The campus serves a diverse student population and is known for its strong community connections, welcoming culture, and regional pride. Sodexo’s dining program at Arkansas Tech University is an integral part of campus life, supporting residential dining, retail locations, and campus events. The unit reflects a balance of Sodexo standards and the local character of Russellville, offering a student‑focused dining experience that emphasizes consistency, approachability, and a sense of place.

What You'll Do

 

  • lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes
  • train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.
  • conduct retail brand standard audits (in-house and national brands)
  • maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands)
  • manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily retail food service operations
  • ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place
  • manage vendor relationships and compliance
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place
