Overview:

The Financial Analyst II performs various financial activities including forecasting, modeling, budgeting, and reporting for the Finance organization.  Owns complex processes and contributes positively to the team environment. Works independently and proactively creates views and insights based on business results and performance to leadership. This role will initially focus on Distribution Center, Sourcing, and other corporate overhead expense planning and forecasting.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the development and preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts by partnering with department leaders to monitor operating expenses, review expense trends, analyze actual vs forecast variances, and identify risks and opportunities
  • Works directly with Accounting team to ensure proper expense coding, accruals, reclasses, and timely month-end close activities
  • Maintains and enhances financials models used for expense planning
  • Communicates results to business leaders through effective and efficient summaries and presentations
  • Supports ad hoc financial analysis, process improvements, and reporting automation to strengthen FP&A expense management capabilities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (MBA and/or CPA a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience in financial planning, model building, and reporting; experience with GL systems and exposure to financial statement analytics is a plus
