Honolulu HI - Consistent Projects for POS Point of Sale , smart lock access, work station installations, May through July & possibly longer -   Project work  - for all Field Retail Technicians, POS & Network technicians encouraged to apply - Technicians handle a wide range of installations, repairs, break-fix and upgrades for retail security products, including POS systems, networks, network devices, access points, routers, RFID smart lock access. They also set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments.

 

We pay all travel costs without the need for re-imbursements. We have local work if you want to be home every night and national work available fo those that enjoy traveling.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Removing and replacing retail display security devices.
  • Replacing monitors, scanners and registers for Point of Sale
  • Updating Software.
  • Installing and maintaining RFID locks on store displays.
  • Installing and updating facility entrance door lock hardware.
  • Experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, network provisioning a plus.
  • Cable Management
  • Flexible availability – we work with your schedule.
  • Frequent use of hand tools.
  • Travel opportunities in various markets. If you want to travel, we have the work.
  • Able to climb up and down ladders.
  • Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
  • Access control or video surveillance system experience a plus

 

Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of various networking technologies.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Aptitude for customer support.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Over the age of 18.
  • Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
  • All training is provided.

  • Travel is required.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on occasion.

  • POS experience is a plus.
