Our cashiers play one of the most important roles in providing legendary customer service to our neighbors. They're the first and last face many of our customers see at our store. They check people out, handle returns and answer questions. Don't know anything about hardware? Don't worry! We'll teach you!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Every day, our cashiers:

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding, enthusiastic and exceptional customer service

• Communicate clearly, politely and efficiently with customers and team members in store and on the phone

• Check customers our quickly and accurately, including using our retail computer system and handling change

• Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management

• Assist in receiving, stocking and pricing of all merchandise in assigned areas and generally throughout the store

• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to share with customers

• Work on continually increasing their knowledge of the products we sell and their uses

• Help us keep up a clean and orderly store appearance

• Handle other duties as assigned in our ever-changing retail environment

Requirements

• Come to work everyday with a desire to provide the best customer experience possible and learn a little along the way

• Some high school or a GED is preferred. Still in high school? You're welcome to apply!

• Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, lift up to approximately 35 lbs. and climb (There's always a little bending, twisting and moving that's part of the job)

• Cashier, customer service and/or hardware store experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, mornings, weekends and holidays
