The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in creating memorable visitor experiences at the GRPM by delivering exceptional customer service and facilitating purchases in the Curiosity Shop. By offering products that complement the Museum's collections and exhibits, Retail Associates directly support the Museum's mission and enhance the visitor experience.

The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in creating memorable visitor experiences at the GRPM by delivering exceptional customer service and facilitating purchases in the Curiosity Shop. This position involves engaging with visitors, operating the point-of-sale system, and maintaining an inviting store environment through product display management and merchandise restocking. By offering products that complement the Museum's collections and exhibits, Retail Associates directly support the Museum's mission and enhance the visitor experience. They collaborate with Customer Service Associates to ensure positive and memorable visits, which may include assisting with ticketing and the Spillman Carousel. While receiving daily tasks and guidance from the Retail Service Lead, the Retail Associate directly reports to the Retail Service Manager. Occasional direction may also come from the Customer Service Manager. FLSA Status: Part-Time/Hourly, Non-exempt Hours: Part-time up to 29.0 hrs/wk. Weekdays, weekends, some evenings, and holidays are required. Compensation: Starting at $15.40 per hour (.50 after 90 days and again after 1 year) This position will be two days a week, which may include a weekend day.
